The Society for Financial Studies is hosting the seventh annual Review of Corporate Finance Studies Winter Conference on February 15 and 16, 2025, starting with a welcome reception on February 14th in the evening. This will be a high-quality conference with a limited number of papers on important issues in finance.

The sessions will be arranged by the RCFS Editors (J. Anthony Cookson, Isil Erel, Michelle Lowry, and Robert Marquez) and Associate Editors. We welcome submissions in all areas of corporate finance, financial intermediation, and household finance. Empirical and theoretical contributions are encouraged.

Special Session on “Understanding Firms, Households and Financing in the Age of AI”

We plan to have a special session at the conference on the theme of “Understanding Firms, Households and Financing in the Age of AI.” At this stage, we are calling for Registered Reports that offer new perspectives through the lens of AI. Possible topics include evaluating the impact of AI on firms, households and financing, as well as deploying AI and related technologies as a measurement tool for understanding firm or household behaviors.

SUBMISSION DEADLINES:

Please note there are different deadlines for regular papers and for Registered Reports. Late submissions will not be allowed.

Regular papers: November 18, 2024 (11:59:59pm PST)

Registered Reports on “Understanding Firms, Households and Financing in the Age of AI”: November 25, 2024 (11:59:59pm PST)

HOW TO SUBMIT:

Please submit your paper or Registered Report here. A submitted paper must not have been accepted (or conditionally accepted) at a journal. The submission fee is US $85 per submission.

DUAL SUBMISSION: For regular papers, the RCFS Winter Conference features dual submission to The Review of Corporate Finance Studies. Authors should indicate if they wish their paper to be considered (at no extra fee) for publication by RCFS under the Dual Submission Program. This is a “no-fault” submission option: if the RCFS reviews the paper and rejects it, the authors may submit it to any SFS journal at a later date as if it had never been submitted. See https://sfs.org/dualsubmissionpolicy/ for details.
