Membership Benefits
SFS membership provides three primary benefits:
- You may submit a paper to any SFS journal at the lower membership submission fee.
- You may register to attend SFS conferences at the lower membership rate.
- You will receive the SFS Newsletter and other SFS email announcements.
Please note: Membership does not include a free subscription to the journals. Journal subscriptions are maintained by Oxford University Press.

How to Join?
Step 1: Create an account on the SFS system here.
Step 2: Log in with your chosen username and password below, then click “Manage my Account” to enter the Membership Management Portal. From there, choose “SFS Membership” to select a membership level and pay.
Member Login
Announcement: We moved to a new membership management system on 6/10/2025. If you have been on our contact list in the past, an account has been created for you, but you will need to reset your password in order to log in for the first time. If you have any issues accessing your account, please contact manager@sfs.org.
Please note: The new system was not able to move current memberships over, which means all accounts are starting from scratch. We apologize for the inconvenience! If you purchased a membership recently, you may contact manager@sfs.org for help. Otherwise, memberships may be purchased upon logging in.
Submitting Papers/Registrations: When you submit a paper in Editorial Express, or submit a paper/register for a conference in ConfTool, the system will automatically recognize your email and allow you to select the reduced member pricing. If you are not able to select the reduced member pricing, please make sure you are using the email address associated with your SFS member account.
