The SFS provides up to 8 travel grants to PhD student authors to attend SFS Cavalcade North America.
PhD Grant Details
To qualify, all authors of a paper must be PhD students at the time of the conference. A grant of up to $1000 will be awarded to the presenting author who travels from North America, or up to $2000 from overseas.
The SFS will reimburse up to the grant amount, subject to receipts, after the conference is over. Eligible travel expenses include hotel (at the conference hotel or an equivalent-priced hotel), airfare (economy), and parking/transportation.
Grant recipients are expected to attend the Cavalcade Keynote Lunch. The Chair will recognize the recipients at the event.
