February 13-15, 2026 (Presidents’ Day weekend)
Royal Sonesta, San Juan, Puerto Rico
The Society for Financial Studies is hosting the ninth annual Review of Corporate Finance Studies Winter Conference on February 14 and 15, 2026, starting with a welcome reception on Friday, February 13th, in the evening and ending after lunch on Sunday, February 15th. This will be a high-quality conference with a limited number of papers. Our aim is to bring together a select group of top-quality researchers to present and discuss cutting-edge papers in the field. We welcome submissions in all areas of corporate finance, financial intermediation, and household finance.
The sessions will be arranged by the RCFS Editors (Anthony Cookson, Isil Erel, Michelle Lowry, and Robert Marquez) and Associate Editors. We welcome both empirical and theoretical papers in corporate finance, financial intermediation, and household finance.
Royal Sonesta San Juan is a family-friendly, luxurious oceanfront resort on Isla Verde, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, with excellent beaches and many leisure-time activities. It is located very close to the Luis Munoz Marin International Airport (about a 10-minute drive). Old San Juan is just 6 miles away from the resort.
New This Year
We are introducing the RCFS Best Conference Paper and Best Discussant Awards ($1000 each). Awardees will be decided by the conference participants’ votes.
Special Session on “Global and Emerging Markets in Finance”
We plan to have a special session at the conference on the theme of “Global and Emerging Markets in Finance.” At this stage, we are calling for Registered Reports on subjects related to this specific theme as it can be applied in the areas of corporate finance, household finance, and financial intermediation. Examples of Registered Reports that were successful in prior years, and subsequently entered in the formal review process, can be found in the Registered Reports Repository. After the conference, a small set of selected proposals will be granted in-principle acceptance for publication in the RCFS after a formal review process.
Submission Deadlines
Please note there are different deadlines for regular papers and for Registered Reports. Late submissions will not be allowed.

How to Submit
-A submitted paper must not have been accepted (or conditionally accepted) at a journal.
-The submission fee is US $90 per submission.
-ConfTool does not save accounts from previous conferences so you will need to make a new account even if you have made an account for a previous conference.
-ConfTool requires you to pay the fee before you can submit your paper. If you are submitting multiple papers, ConfTool will ask you to pay all the fees at once, then upload each paper individually. Payments may be made via PayPal or credit card (Visa, Mastercard). You do not need a PayPal account; to pay with credit card, simply click past the PayPal log-in prompt.
DUAL SUBMISSION: For regular papers, the RCFS Winter Conference features optional dual submission to The Review of Corporate Finance Studies. Authors should indicate if they wish their paper to be considered (at no extra fee) for publication by RCFS under the Dual Submission Program. This is a “no-fault” submission option: if the RCFS reviews the paper and rejects it, the authors may submit it to any SFS journal at a later date as if it had never been submitted. See https://sfs.org/dualsubmissionpolicy/ for details.
